Xiaomi announces virtual reality glasses in collaboration with Oculus

Chinese company Xiaomi announced the launch of two virtual reality cameras in cooperation with the giant in this area Oculus. The Oculus Go glasses are being developed by Oculus, but Xiaomi ‘s manufacturing will be available worldwide, while the Mi VR Standalone will be developed and manufactured by Xiaomi in collaboration with Oculus and is intended for the Chinese market only.

Oculus had announced Oculus Go last October but it was not yet available for purchase. From the Xiaomi conference today at CES, we understand that Xiaomi will be the manufacturer of the glasses that operate on its own without relying on another device and without the need for wires, cables, sensors or even a telephone.

The Mi VR Standalone is based on the same hardware as the Oculus Go, such as the Snapdragon 821, but with additional technologies such as a screen with up to 2K LCD resolution and surround sound technology to provide a 3.5 mm port and a large library of 360-degree video and games From a private shop in Xiaomi.

The company did not disclose the date of the availability of the two lights, saying only that they will be at a price “very attractive” as usual Xiaomi price competition.
