Skype with a new design is officially available on Windows

Two months ago, Skype announced a major upgrade to its PC design to keep up with the changes in the smartphone application, and several trial versions were available to date for the official final version available for download.

This version works with Windows 7, 8 and 10 until version 1511, and if you have Windows 10 with a newer version, it will not work with you because Microsoft added the Skype version as a comprehensive application in Windows version number 1607 and newer.

The most noticeable changes in the new Skype is the customization capabilities in the theme where it supports the dark night mode and also can choose a distinctive color for the application.

The chats list got improvements so they could be sorted by several criteria and also changed the view to look more compact, concise or standard.

Within the application there is a list of notifications similar to the mobile version. You can also see reactions to your message, Menchen and others.

The update will be available within hours either by automatic updating or downloaded manually from Skype.
