Some users of new Google Pixel 2 phones are experiencing some strange sounds

Shortly after Google announced it was investigating the problem of burning pixels on the new Google Pixel 2 phone screens, another problem surfaced. Essentially, there are many users who have reported that their units are experiencing a “noise and high frequency” problem.

Here’s what users face as shown by an affected user in the official Google Pixel forum: “Whenever the phone is unlocked, I can hear a static tick like a wristwatch if the phone is on my ear, this does not happen when the screen is closed, or when Open, but the phone is locked. ”

Patching solutions such as restarting, returning to factory condition, or even moving to flight mode do not affect this problem. However, some users say that disabling the NFC feature eliminates that acoustic tangle, although there is no effect on the high two.

Although Google has not officially announced anything about this issue, support staff said the problem would be resolved sometime in the next week. At the same time, users are required to communicate directly with the support team to discuss the possibility of replacing their units.
