Apple will not give up much of the Touch ID sensor in the next generation of iPhone phones after monitoring software variables in the HomePod operating system.
Apple has developed a home iPod operating system on iOS, where iPhone handsets work. So, after analyzing the system documents a few days ago, it was found that in some cases Apple is testing more than one sensor to secure the device through a variable called canPerformMultiBiometrics.
There are certainly three-dimensional facial recognition sensors, a knowledge inside the system called Pearl ID. This, in turn, opened the door to questions about the fate of the fingerprint sensor, which has not been explicitly shown in the new documents so far, but the signal to use more than one sensor may mean in one way or another the possibility of securing the device across the face and through the fingerprint as well.
