Google adds a tool to protect against malicious links in Gmail on your iPhone

Google announced that in the next two weeks it will add a layer of protection to the Gmail application available to Apple’s iPhone phones to reduce malicious links.

When you click on an unsafe link, the app will display an alert to warn the user of the link’s unreliability and also display it to make sure it’s the desired site. When you press the Proceed button, the company will display another page explaining the dangers of visiting sites that have been classified as unsafe, a second layer in the face of phishing and fraud attempts that often begin with e-mail.

These steps are the result of increased e-mail fraud attacks that drive users to visit malicious links that lead to the installation or deception of malicious software and the theft of their login data.
