Intel’s eighth-generation Coffee Lake processors will not work with existing motherboards

There have been rumors that next-generation Coffee Lake processors will not be able to work on the current motherboard, which means you will have to buy a motherboard compatible with these processors.

The news came as a surprise to those looking to upgrade their processing to the six-core Coffee Lake and through Twitter through the ASRock motherboard manufacturer. The Wccftech website also inquired whether the new Coffee Lake processors are compatible with the ASRock 200 series motherboard or not. Said that the Coffe Lake processors are not compatible with the ASRock 200 series motherboard, although the Coffe Lake processors use the LGA 1151 socket on the 200 Series motherboard, according to Wccftech that the Coffee Lake processors will request the second version of the LGA socket 1151.

But so far we do not know how credible this news is, and we’ve seen two reports also confirm that the Coffee Lake processors will not fit the 200 series motherboards. In this case, if these rumors are confirmed and it is necessary for the new processor to buy a new motherboard, many users may be buying new AMD boards and processors, which is a real update in comparison, especially when AMD offers any temptations with significant price reductions.
