Google launches emergency notification service SOS Alerts

As Facebook has a user-friendly service during natural or terrorist disasters, Google launched its SOS Alerts service, which will display emergency or disaster alerts for its map and search engine service.

If disasters such as fires, earthquakes, floods, etc., even terrorist disasters such as attacks, the service will offer news coverage on the subject and emergency numbers such as fire and police as well as official sites can be obtained further details through the sites of ministries or local councils.

The emergency notices will be sent with human intervention, not automatic, so they can not cover all disasters that may occur in the world at the same time, but will work to gradually increase coverage.

From this service, Google wants to make its search engine and mapping service the first destination the user goes to for details about an emergency event, not social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, which are fast-spreading the news.
