Snapchat launches a map to see what your friends are doing now

A new feature of Snapchat lets you know what your friends are now doing around the world by viewing their places on the map and watching their glasses.

The map can be accessed from the virtual camera screen via the two-in-the-disk with the two fingers inward to display. The map shows a special icon for each person with his or her location and by clicking on someone who shows his or her recently published snaps to see what they are currently doing so you can join them for example.

The feature works only with people who want to activate it through app settings. Snap said the application will not track users’ movement and move them from one location to another where the location is updated only when the application is opened.

If you do not want to appear on the Snap map you can put yourself in the “Ghost Mode”. The feature is now available gradually by updating the app on iPhone and Android.
