In an event in New York yesterday Lenovo reviewed some new and strange ideas. The company showed its idea of the future of laptops and showed a picture of a curved laptop computer with a flexible screen built into the keyboard and a ThinkPad pointing stick. With this new concept, Most of the interaction with the device will occur via voice commands or pen, Lenovo says this concept will be achieved through advanced materials and new screen technologies.
We have seen many flexible screens at CES for years, yet we do not yet have flexible display screens in our daily lives, because the concepts that have emerged were just prototypes and often will be so thick that we will not get that great flexibility offered by Lenovo. The combination of pen technology will increase the difficulty of building this technology.
