WhatsApp extends support for older Android versions until 2020

Yesterday, we talked about the third extension offered by WhatsApp to support BlackBerry phone operating systems until the end of this year. Today, the site has been updated to tell us about the suspension of support for the old Android operating systems by extending it until February 1, 2020.

In February last year, WatSab announced that it will stop supporting old Android versions such as 2.1, 2.2 and others by the end of 2016, but later extended it, and now our new extension includes Android 2.3.7 and older phones.

Interestingly, by 2020, more and more old Android versions, such as Android 4, 4.1 and 4.4Kit, will be added. WhatsApp now says it will continue to support it even after 2020, but the site will be modified over the coming years. Old and no longer used with reasonable intensity.

Although WhatsApp will support older versions of Android by 2020 but do not expect to add the latest features, it will maintain the performance of basic services in communication, all of which will provide the company with its efforts and costs and focus on the development of platforms used by 99.3% of people today.
