Chrome OS now supports the use of networked printers

Google launched version 59 of the Chrome OS, adding the possibility of using printers connected to the same network without the need to use the Internet.

Users of Chrome OS previously needed to use Google-compatible printers, or those that could connect to the Internet and synchronize with the Google Cloud Print service for cloud printing.

Thanks to the new support, any networked printer can be used for instant printing, even if it does not support Google Cloud Print or Chrome OS. Google also said that most printers connected to the network via IPP, to facilitate the installation and installation of the printer on the system.

In the past, Chrome OS add-ons had been developed by some printer manufacturers, but they did not work. For this reason, the support Google brought with the new version makes it easier to use any add-ons, especially for users of computers in the educational field.
