Samsung will manufacture processors and memory chips for other companies

In an expected move, Samsung has separated the processors, memory chips and semiconductors sector into a separate, independent division that allows it to contract with companies to manufacture for its benefit.

Samsung will compete with Taiwanese companies such as TSMC in the manufacture of several products for smart phones and other devices such as processors, memory chips and others for companies such as Infidya, Qualcomm and Apple.

Samsung has the necessary technical expertise, infrastructure and production lines to attract more customers rather than manufacturing for itself or only partially for other competing companies.

Revenues from semiconductor and processor sales are not a big part of Samsung’s revenue, but this chapter in a separate sector would boost annual revenue growth at a big rate, which is higher than last year’s $ 4.7 billion.
