Apple is investing $ 200 million in Corning Monitors

Corning will be the first company to receive funding from the US Advanced Industries Investment Fund announced by Apple early this month.

Apple will invest $ 200 million to support R & D in Corning, as well as to purchase equipment and production lines for the industry.

Corning is known for its protective layer for Gorilla Glass, which can prevent scratches and breaks in some cases and withstand difficult conditions.

Apple’s relationship with Corning has continued over the past 10 years, creating 1,000 jobs since the launch of the first iPhone and using the Corning protection cable in all its smartphones from iPhone and iPad to the present. Apple’s new investment fund is aimed at stimulating industrial companies
