The prison sentence for a person playing Pokemon Go in a church

The madness of Pokemon Go has reached the point of a prison sentence for a Russian youtuber because of filming himself playing Pokemon Joe inside a church !.

Ruslan Sokolovsky is likely to face up to five years in prison for contempt of religion. He was sentenced to three and a half years’ imprisonment.

The young man portrayed himself playing Pokemon Joe in response to strict government sanctions against people who deliberately insulted believers in places of worship.

The young man denounced the prison sentence because of all he did was move inside the church with a smart phone. Police raided the house of the young man, entered him, arrested him and placed him under house arrest pending a court order.

Amnesty International denounced the Russian government’s action and demanded the release of the young man and more than 14,000 people supported the organization’s demand.
