WhatsApp announces 55 million video calls per day via its application

WhatsApp revealed yesterday that it is using its application to make about 55 million video calls per day, after the new feature was introduced to Android devices in October 2016.

WhatsApp has started with a property calls that compete with several other similar apps, such as Facebook Messenger, Skype, and Google Duo.

According to the company’s data, video calls are made by 1.2 billion users from all over the world who spend about 340 million minutes during their video calls, and India leads the figures with 50 million minutes a day.

Video calls to WhatsApp only allow calls between two users, while other applications like above support video meetings with more than one person.
