The gap between high-quality and medium-quality phones is about to decrease significantly if the medium-sized handsets are equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 360 and Snapdragon 660.
The Singapore-based company announced the new processors, which are the successor to the Snapdragon 625 and the Dragon 652, which were used in phones such as the Moto G5 Plus.
The new processors promise to support LTE and Wi-Fi speeds faster than before, and better image processing where they support cameras up to 24 megapixels, better and faster graphics performance, and fast Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support.
The new processors can display pictures and record 4K video clips, and the phones that will be supplied with the Snapdragon 660 processor will be able to support 2560 x 1440 pixels QHD monitors.
The processors are expected to be seen soon in the phones of Chinese companies in particular, such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.
