Windows 10 S is provided with the Edge browser as a default browser and can not be changed

Yesterday Microsoft announced Windows 10S operating system as an alternative to operating systems in low-quality computers or upcoming budget-oriented education, and one of the changes to Windows 10 Home Edition or Windows 10 Pro version is that Windows 10 S will allow you to only install Applications from Windows Store.

For starters, it is limited to browsers available in the Windows Store and at the moment there is no Chrome browser, Firefox or Opera.

Therefore, Microsoft decided that Edge browser will be the permanent browser and default in Windows 10 S, which means that even if Google put Google Chrome browser on the Windows Store, Edge will remain open by default every time you click the HTML link, and the search engine Bing will have a search engine permanently on the Edge, with no option to switch to Google or anything else.

To be fair, the Edge browser is actually a very powerful browser, and most buyers will probably not mind low-cost computers having this browser, especially since it also works better on low-quality Chrome browser devices, but forcing them to search Bing as the default search engine Is very much considered for them, especially for students who are the main target audience of these devices and who will have great reliance on Google.

  1. [ Smiles ] A lot of people are going to hate Windows 10 S, because of its limitations.
Most people would be better off using Windows 10 Home Edition or Windows 10 Professional Edition.
In my case, I don’t do Windows. I am a Linux user.
