As it seeks to increase its popularity among users and even advertisers, Snapchat seems to be about to add real TV content to Snapchat.
A new report from The Wall Street Journal confirmed that the company had already started working in the past few months with several popular media outlets to obtain exclusive rights to show some programs through Snapchat.
By the end of 2017, Snapchat plans to broadcast two or three different episodes a day. This content will be varied among TV show programs, perhaps serials and even documentaries, and may evolve into news and sports news and more.
Interestingly, Snapchat will not pay any fees for the content, but the financial details indicate that Snapchat will share advertising revenue for these programs with 50-50 advertisers.
So far there are no details from Snapchat on this subject.
