Facebook earns 8 $ billion and approaches 2 billion users

Facebook posted significant growth in its first quarter revenue, slightly above $ 8 billion, up 49% from the same quarter last year. Overall, Facebook posted a net profit of just over $ 3 billion this quarter.

The number of active users per day rose to 1.28 billion users, while the monthly number of active users reached 1.94 billion, meaning that it will reach 2 billion users in the next quarter or later.

Smartphone ad revenue accounts for 85% of total ad revenue.

Facebook does not disclose revenue from its own services such as Instagram, which is believed to have achieved 3.9 $ billion this year, up more than 100 percent from the same quarter last year.

During the last quarter, Facebook employed 1,700 new employees, a record rate it had never reached, bringing the company’s workforce to 18770.
